Celtic Stencils

celtic stencils If you want to add the warmth and charm of Celtic designs to your walls, check out these Celtic Wall Stencils at Shop Irish. These stencils are pre-cut micron polyester film... no, I'm not really sure what that is, but the stencils are washable and reusable, so I suspect it's a good material for stencils. ;)

There are two separate designs available from Shop Irish : Celtic Knotwork and Shamrocks.

celtic designs stencils If you're looking for a bit more variety and you're the crafty sort, you may want to check out this Celtic Stencil design book from Amazon. The patterns are printed on "durable stencil paper," but you have to do all the cutting out of the stencils.

Nautical Flag Jewelry

nautical flag jewelry Yachties will love using these italian charms to create their personalized nautical flag jewelry. Spell out the wearer's name, their boat's name, or send secret nautical messages to anyone reading the bracelet.

If you're not familiar with "italian charms," these are stainless steel charms that link together -- the base bracelet is made of links just like the ones shown only they're blank stainless steel. Each nautical flag charm is $18.00 and if you buy from Heavenly Treasures (link listed below) you get the starter bracelet for free (with the purchase of one charm).

TIP: At the Heavenly Treasures site, select the "G-P" alphabet dropdown -- all the nautical flag charms are listed under "N" (e.g., Nautical Letter A, Nautical Letter B, etc.)

Heavenly Treasures offers all the letters of the alphabet, but doesn't have pictures of all the flags. To see each flag, check out this Nautical Flag Chart.

Loose Diamonds

loose diamonds If you want to buy a really hot diamond (or just make sure you're not getting ripped off when you buy a diamond), you must venture into the world of loose diamonds.

"Loose diamonds" are diamonds that have not yet been set in a ring and when buying from a reputable jeweler they're the only diamonds that come with GIA or AGS grading reports. If all this sounds like gibberish, don't panic, there is a lot of good information about how to buy a diamond online -- and contrary to what certain jewelers would have you believe, understanding GIA and AGS grading reports is not rocket science.

Besides, when you buy a loose diamond (yes, everyday ordinary people buy loose diamonds), you get to choose the diamond AND the setting -- it's the ONLY way to ensure you get exactly the ring you want.

Dog Umbrella

dog umbrella A dog umbrella? Yes, indeed... a DOG umbrella. This new-fangled bit of pooch pampering is attached to a leash and the top of the umbrella is clear... so you can watch your pup try to figure out why he/she is not getting wet while it's raining.

I have to admit, when a friend sent me a link to this product, I laughed out loud... I imagined hooking Clyde (see picture) up to this contraption and realized we wouldn't need to take a walk in the rain because Clyde would stroke out immediately and we'd be driving to the vets.

However, if you have a more adventuresome pet (one not easily freaked out by anything new) this umbrella could be a great way to make sure your pup gets his walkies, rain or shine. ;)

Price: (at the time of this review)
$19.99

Zodiac Pendant Jewelry

zodiac pendant jewelry Zodiac pendants are hot right now and I've discovered my absolute favorite rendition -- these silver pendants are based on a medieval design and are created using the "lost wax" method. This artisan method allows for an incredible level of detail. The pendants have the astrological sign on the front and the reverses have the personality characteristics of the sign and the symbol for the sign's ruling planet.

diamond zodiac pendants If you like a little more bling-bling in your jewelry, check out these diamond pendants (yes, real diamonds) set in 14K white gold. These encrusted beauties have between 1/4 and 1/2 carat total weight of diamonds (total weight dependent on sign).

If you prefer the diamond pendants, but are short on cash, you might want to try out the Cubic Zirconia pendants available from eMitations (see the link below). The pendants are set in sterling silver and look great.

Price: (at the time of this review)
$48.00 (Silver Zodiac Pendants)
$215.00 - $389.00 (Diamond Zodiac Pendants)
$44.00 (CZ Zodiac Pendants) -- Sale Price, Reg. Price is $49.00
