Space Shuttle Beds

space shuttle beds Oh man, if I had a space shuttle bed when I was a kid, everything would have been different -- I would've excelled in science, become an astronaut, changed the world, and kept my room clean. I swear.

Okay, maybe not. I was never crazy about science, I have an acute fear of heights, and I still have trouble keeping my room clean.

But this has to be the coolest kid's bed ever created (with a price tag to match). It's got room for two twin size mattresses (one on top, one "in" the shuttle), so space geek siblings sharing a room can both be part of the latest mission.

Houston, we have bunk beds.

Bosca Leather Purses

bosca leather purses If you work in an office and you love leather accessories, you probably already know Bosca... but do you know Bosca leather purses?

I didn't. Over the years, I've purchased a number of Bosca products (wallets, notepad covers, business card holders) -- sometimes as gifts, sometimes for myself. And even though I no longer work in an office, I still love each piece of Bosca I own.

Imagine my delight to discover they have an impressive line of handbags. And they carry both classic and contemporary designs and colors.

While I don't own any of their handbags, what can I tell you about Bosca? Fine quality leather and excellent craftsmanship that will last for years.

However, if you have a cat whose claws seem drawn to fine leather [pauses to glare at beloved pet], put your Bosca purse out of reach.

Always.

Trust me on this one.

Theme Party: Space, the Final Frontier

theme party space Got a budding astronaut in the house? If you're looking for the perfect birthday theme party, space shuttles, planets, NASA replicas, and more, then Countdown Creations is the place for you. They've got a great set of matching plates, cups, invitations, thank you notes, space party favors, banners, table covers, balloons, decorations, and more.

Be sure to check out the freeze-dried ice cream -- as I recall, it was my FAVORITE part of a visit to NASA when I was a kid... okay, so maybe I was not a budding astronaut at the time... just along for the snacks. ;)

Dragon Ear Wrap

dragon ear wrap There are days when I fantasize about having the style to wear a mythical dragon ear wrap like the ones found at Harry Mason's... a mystical carefree being or dark goth spirit... a cabalistic fashionista.

Alas alack... my current wardrobe inspires neither the ethereal or the lugubrious, but for those of you who can sport such adornment, Harry Mason's has a number of fantasy and goth ear wraps including dragons, bats, stars, moon, fairy, dolphins, frogs, and more.

Trendy Ballet Flats

trendy ballet flats Trendy ballet flats... what a heavenly phrase.

Let's be honest, it is indeed a rare occurrence to accurately use the words "fashionable", "comfortable", and "women's shoes" all in one sentence. But last year ballet flats were back and this year they're back in force -- in hot colors, adorable styles, and affordable, fashionable, comfort.

While there are a number of trendy treatments, one of the most popular is the suede ballet flat with a flower flourish. GAP has the best prices.

Comfortable, fashionable, women's shoes... heavenly.

Fancy Pet Collars

fancy pet collars People have their Vertu Charms and puppies and kitties have their fancy pet collars.

Yes, now Fifi, Bruno, and Fluffy can have their own personalized pet collar encrusted with Swarovski crystals -- slider charms where you can spell out their name or a clever message accented with hearts and stars. Collar sizes available for both dogs and cats.

And if personalized crystals are a bit too fancy for your pet, here's a fabulous collection of fancy, but a little less sparkly pet collars.

From the CatsPlay website: " Don't accept imitations -- our slider charms are coated with Rhodium and contain genuine Swarovski crystals. They won't rust, peel, chip or tarnish. Look closely and you'll see the collar clasp even has tiny Rhinestones imbedded in it! "

Price: at the time of this review
$5.99 - $8.99 for collar
$2.75 - $4.00 for slider charms
