Safety Girl Roadside Emergency Kit

safety girl roadside emergency kit Looking for a snazzy gift for the girlie new driver? Check out this Safety Girl Roadside Emergency Kit

The Safety Girl Roadside Emergency Kit contains serious roadside emergency supplies like an emergency blanket, first aid supplies and instructions to change a flat tire.

But it also contains other "emergency" items like chocolate, nail file, aromatherapy headache remedy and more!

And it doesn't look like it should be thrown in the bed of some monster truck.

Here's my favorite testimonial from a satisfied customer:
"I gave my girlfriend a Safety Girl kit for Valentine's Day. Before wrapping it up, I wrote my name on the Emergency Contacts card under 'someone who thinks I'm brilliant'. She went nuts. You have no idea."
-- Andy
How adorable is that? Kudos, Andy!

Pooh Easter Bunny

I know it's a bit early for Easter celebrations, but these Pooh Easter Bunnies are just so incredibly adorable and at such a smart price, I had to join all you early-birds who order everything in advance.

In three charming colors (pink, green, and blue), each of these plush Poohs is dressed up as an Easter Bunny. But don't worry, Winnie-the-Pooh is still the plump bear you know and adore holding tight to his beloved "hunny" pot.

Great as a stand-alone gift or as an Easter Basket topper.

Leap Year Gifts

No, 2006 isn't a leap year. But every Leap Year Baby (born on Feb. 29th in Leap Year) is still celebrating a birthday this year -- even if their birthday isn't on the calendar.

Over at Shelf Life T-Shirts and Gifts they have an excellent selection of Leap Year Gifts for those "blessed" with an invisible birth date. Gifts include t-shirts, sweats, kid's tees, baby gear, coffee mugs, ornaments, mugs, and more. They also have a selection of Leap Year Birthday Cards designed specifically for those born on February 29th.

Lot's of cute frogs ("leap" -- get it?) and sayings, such as "Be Nice To Me, My Birthday's Not On The Calendar".

Stork Club Memorabilia

Stork Club Memorabilia Walter Winchell called the Stork Club, "The New Yorkiest Spot in New York" -- and he wasn't wrong. The Stork Club was THE place to be and was filled with starlets and millionaires.

And now, the coolest Stork Club Memorabilia is available from New York First. There are the gorgeous champagne saucers -- an excellent alternative to thin flutes -- and there is the ultra-retro Stork Club ashtray -- an art-deco reproduction of the "most stolen" ashtray of the 1930s and 1940s.

Wonderfully hip accessories for any party -- even for those of us poor souls who don't live in New York.

Sweet Pea Sours

"Sweet Pea" is a fun line of clothing that can be found at fashion-favorite Nordies. The Sweet Pea Limited line features designs by Stacy Frati and is a big hit with juniors of all sizes.

But Sweet Pea Limited is not such a big hit with 52 small designers who find themselves on the wrong end of a trademark infringement lawsuit.

Sounds serious, eh? Are these devilish designers creating hot diva clothes and trading on the Sweet Pea name? From what I've seen -- and judging purely on fashion, not legalities -- I'll say, "hardly."

The designs I saw (by people involved in the suit) are mostly on t-shirts and cutie-pie baby clothes and feature the phrase "sweet pea" accompanied by original drawings of the actual veggie.

You know, darling wear for the snuggly-uggum set.

Can you really sue someone for using their own artwork of a common vegetable? This is the USA -- Of COURSE you can.

Now pardon me, I have to go warn Olive Oyl that danger is afoot.

Faberge Egg Necklaces

faberge egg necklaces Faberge Egg Necklaces are steeped in the designs and traditions of the Faberge Eggs that were originally designed for the Russian Tsars in celebration of Easter.

Each of the egg pendants (there are a number of designs and colors -- including an American Flag pendant that opens to reveal the Twin Towers) is sterling silver with 14K gold-gilt. These pieces are hand-enameled and encrusted with fine Swarovski crystals by a master jeweler.

What I adore about these baubles are the intricate designs and the attention to detail -- each piece a small work of art.
