Catch a Bubble
If you've ever blown bubbles, you've probably tried to catch one -- it is no easy task.
Or it wasn't when I was growing up... but by the miracle of modern science, catching bubbles just got a whole lot easier. "Catch a Bubble" is a new formulation of soap bubbles that "hardens" in the air to form bubbles that you can catch and stack.
Humidity in the air does affect how quickly the bubbles harden (the more humidity, the slower the hardening), so with the Florida humidity, I was disappointed as I reached to catch my first bubble and it popped -- as well as my second, third, fourth, etc. But then the earliest bubbles floated down and those were catchable and stackable. Very very cool.
And even if you don't catch them, they're wonderful to watch zip around the ceiling fans -- they last much longer than ordinary bubbles (in fact, there are bubbles clinging to my drapes for the past five minutes).
HOWEVER. Some people will strongly prefer to keep these bubbles OUTSIDE. They do leave more residue than the average bubble (it's soapy and easily removed from most surfaces) and some neat freaks may be unhappy with the soapy spots peppering their house.
Me? Hey, it's soap -- why, it's almost as if I'm cleaning without leaving my chair. ;-)
