Handmade Cameo Jewelry

In my not so humble opinion, handcarved cameo jewelry is one of the most romantic gifts a man can give a woman. Why is that? I'm not 100% sure. But I think part of the reason surronds the fact that each piece (when handmade and not mass-produced machine made) is an individual work of art, the jewelry design recalls the romance of Victorian times, and it is a piece of jewelry selected not to match a particular outfit, but to express sentiment.
