St. Thomas Creations Toilet

st thomas creations toilet Yes, boys and girls, I am writing today about a toilet -- but more than that, I'm writing about the company that saved me $683.50 when I bought two toilets.

The story starts with the fact that I live in a 65 year old house -- complete with 65 year old toilets (literally). Because of the design of the bathrooms, I wanted to keep the original toilets, but the fact is their time had come and gone -- a while ago. My agitated plumber made the recommendation (again) that the toilets be replaced. He even gave me the name of a Designer Showroom where I could find something that would complement the remaining older fixtures.

At the Designer Showroom, I found the exact toilet I wanted -- the St.Thomas Creations' Richmond Toilet... and the Design Consultant informed me that the toilets were $683.00 -- A PIECE!!! Or $1,366.00 for two (which I needed) and that's before adding in shipping expenses.

I was appalled -- I was willing to pay more for a design in keeping with the old house, but not THAT much more. So I came home with model number in hand and began doing some online research.

I found a web site (TooHome) where the exact same model was $404.25 (significant improvement), but when adding the shipping costs, the total (for two toilets) was $968.40 -- still more than I wanted to pay.

Then I found HomeClick.com. I'm not saying choirs of angels sang, but it was close. The same exact toilet was $341.25 and they have FREE shipping on orders over $99.00 -- which means I received the two toilets (they were delivered today) for a grand total of $682.50 -- less than I would have paid for just ONE toilet at the Designer Showroom.

Needless to say, I'm hooked on HomeClick.com -- heck, with the money I saved, I can get the matching sink and still be ahead of the game.

My plumber will be so thrilled. ;-)
