Vertu Charms
Ready to melt the plastic? The diamond charm bracelets of the
Vertu Collection
from S&R Designs (also known as Steven Richards)
is ready to win your heart and your pocketbook.
Introduced in 2001, these are charm bracelets with (thankfully) no jingling jangling dangling, but lots of sparkly rocks. The elegance of diamonds mixed with the fun of lizard leather or stainless steel mesh bands -- lots of colors, lots of sparkle. In addition to diamonds, some charms come with a splash of color provided by pink, yellow, and blue saphhires. Charms start at around $150, but quickly jump to over $1,000, per charm.
"Inspired By" Creations
If the price tag of the Vertu Bracelets is a bit beyond your means,
there are
diamond charms
oh-so-similar (dare we say "knock-offs") with
a somewhat smaller price tag. While Vertu jewlery pieces are set in 18K gold,
the inspired-by pieces are 14K. Charms generally run approximately $200.
Cubic Zirconia
Two-hundred per charms, also beyond your means? Never fear,
cubic-zirconia charms to the rescue with a cheap (relatively speaking) alternative.
These charms have the look and style of the Vertu Jewelry Collection, but are CZ set in sterling silver and
generally run about $25 per charm.
