Warm Socks for Cold Feet

warm socks These socks are definitely a toasty treat.

I know what you're thinking -- because I live in Florida, I can't possibly know about warm socks. But hear me out -- for I am one of those people with chronically cold feet (and nose, but that's another story).

If you have chronically cold feet, you know it affects your overall comfort on a regular basis and may even prevent you from sleeping well -- how many of you keep a pair of socks next to the bed "just in case"? Yeah, me too. I've even gone so far as to wear three pairs of socks at one time... and have turned my chilly tootsies lobster red with hot water.

I bought these socks at Vermont Country Store because they were called "30-Below Socks" -- I figured that if they worked at 30 degrees below zero, they MIGHT just work for me. And I figured people in Vermont should know from 30-Below and cold feet.

I've had my original pair for over a year and yes, I wear them on a regular basis. No more wearing three pairs of socks at one time -- these keep my feet nicely warm. These warm socks are a wool/nylon blend (70%/30%) and amazingly soft for the high wool content. My only complaint is that they do "pill" when you wash them. The pilling does not hurt the effectiveness of the socks, but it's not pretty. Fortunately, looks are secondary when it comes to cold feet, IMO.
